* WARNING

THIS IS BETA SOFTWARE. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! IT CAN DO A LOT OF
NASTY THINGS - CALL POLICE OR FIRE DEPARTMENT, BREAK ROOT ON YOUR
SYSTEM, CRASH YOUR DISKS AND KILL YOUR CAT. ALL OF THIS WILL BE YOUR
OWN PROBLEM. NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.

* REQUIREMENTS

U*IX-like operating system (we use uupage with SunOS 4.1.4), Taylor
UUCP (we use 1.05), Perl (we use 5.0).

Compilation instructions are in file INSTALL.

* THANKS

Thanks to Ian Lance Taylor for his great contribution to U*IX
communication world - Taylor UUCP.

* DESCRIPTION

The software consists of two parts - pagerx, that is a uux-style
frontend and pagercico, that dials IXO central and sends the message.

This product is functionally similar to tpage by Tom Limoncelli, tal@warren.mentorg.com
but not based on its code.

* USAGE

To send the message to pager 12345 that is served by central
"vessolink" pagerx must be called as following:

pagerx vessolink!12345 < message

Pager centrals are described in Taylor UUCP config files. To prevent
original uucico calls to pager central it has "time never" parameter
in system description. Pagercico is made to ignore time parameter so
there is no way to set the allowed times for calling pager centrals
(except, of course, crontab manipulations).

* INTEGRATION WITH E-MAIL

We use UUPAGE with Smail 3.1.29. To be delivered to someone's pager
the message must be addressed to <user>-pager@our.doma.in.
Smail configuration can be found in samples/smail. If someone is
willing to offer other MTA config files samples please send them to uupage@jet.msk.su.

* IXO implementation

Pagercico implements IXO as defined in:
