    =================================================================

    Welcome to the Netscape Client Customization Kit!

    The Netscape Client Customization Kit is subject to the terms
    detailed in the license agreement accompanying it.

    This Read Me covers

    * what's in the Client Customization Kit
    * installation instructions
    * where to find documentation
    * where to find release notes

    ==================================================================

                Contents of the Client Customization Kit CD

    ==================================================================

    * The Client Customization Kit folder contains the installer for the
     software. With this installer, you can install

    -Netscape Configuration Editor
    -Netscape Install Builder
    -Netscape Account Setup Editor (for Windows only)

    The installer allows you to install some or all of these components.

    * Before you install the Client Customization Kit, you MUST install
    the version of Netscape Communicator that you received as a part of
    the Client Customization Kit product. That version of Communicator
    includes plug-ins and other software that enable some of the tools
    to run.

    * The Printable Docs (prntdocs) folder contains FrameMaker and HTML
    files of the end-user book "Installation and Setup Guide." You can
    customize and distribute either version of the book for your users.

    * The Install Shell on the Windows CD (see the next section for details
    about launching the shell on Windows 95/98 and Windows NT 4.0) provides
    access to additional items on the CD, such as customizable shell
    software, third-party bonus plug-in installers, and other ISP tools.

    or Windows system to run the Client Customization Kit tools.

    * You must have a current version of Communicator (included
    on the Customization Kit CD) installed on your system to run
    the tools. The version included is 4.5. The prebuilt versions of
    Communicator are included in the Comms directory of the CD for
    Windows and in the Communicators folder for the Mac OS. (If you're
