                              Command : SALVAGE

 SYNTAX:
   [##:##] Command: salvage <SHIPS>

When a ship sinks, it's possible that some parts of its cargo can be retrieved
from Davey Jones' locker. Most commodities decompose on the way to the bot-
tom, but SHELLS, GOLD BARS, and RADS are unharmed by seawater and, by using a
salvage ship, can be recovered.

   [##:##] Command: salvage 100,10

   salvage ship #164 @ 100,10 recovered 3 shells, 1 rads
   salvage ship #165 @ 100,10 recovered 10 shells

The `salvage' command, followed by a ship name or number, instructs that ship
to perform commodity recovery operations in its current sector. If, in that
sector, any of the above commodities are resting on the bottom, they will be
slowly recovered onto the salvage vessel. Each time you give the `salvage'
command, the ship will try to recover up to a maximum of 10 items (or up to as
much as it can hold, whichever is less). Which and how many specific items

                              Command : SALVAGE

come up depends on what's on the bottom and the efficiency of the ship -- the
ship nondiscriminately rakes up whatever it can find.

Each salvage operation consumes 20 units of mobility regardless of whether or
not anything is actually recovered. Note that there is NO WAY to predetermine
if anything worth salvaging is actually on the bottom in a particular  sector;
when somebody sinks, it's up to you to keep a record of where it went down.

Salvage operations can be performed only in ocean sectors.
