                                Command : OPEN

 SYNTAX:
   [##:##] Command: open

(There are two market systems available in Empire. A compile option deter-
mines which particular system a game will use. The open command is used only
with the TRADE CENTER market.)

The open command is used to open one or more of your trade centers (sector
type x) to do business with specific countries. Trade centers which are open
will show up on other players' market reports, will allow entrance to their
ships and vehicles, and will allow those ships and vehicles to buy and sell
specific commodities (via the load and unload commands).

The syntax for open is:
   [##:##] Command: open <tradecenter-SECT> <to-NAT|*|.> <MULTIPLIER>

The first parameter is the realm, range, or coordinate of the trade center(s)
you wish to open. The second parameter is the name or number of the country
you want to open it to, or a `*' to open the sector to all countries, or a `.'
to open it to yourself (useful for getting a list of countries and multipliers

                                Command : OPEN

without changing anyone's open status). The optional third parameter is a
selling price multiplier; if left unspecified, the multiplier is assumed to be
1. (Note: The maximum allowable multiplier is 1000000.0; the minimum allow-
able multiplier is 0.01. Multipliers will be automatically limited to these
restrictions.)
