                              Concept : Kamikaze

Kamikazes are extremely loyal pilots who are willing to turn their aircraft
into flying human-guided bombs, sacraficing their own lives in a last-ditch
heroic attempt to strike a major blow against an enemy.

The primary objective of a kamikaze pilot is to fly a bombing mission against
a specific target. The kbomb command is used exactly like the bomb command to
set up and fly the mission, but allows you opportunity to assign elite kami-
kaze pilots and targets to specific planes, and sacrifice these pilots by div-
ing on those and other kamikaze targets as they become available during the
flight.

The chance of a kamikaze hitting a target depends on three factors: the
plane's size, the plane's efficiency, and the adjusted size of the target.

The size of the plane is equivalent to the number of lcms plus twice the
number of hcms that went into building the plane. Sizes computed to be less
than 40 are rounded up to 40.

                              Concept : Kamikaze

The base size of the target is equivalent to the number of lcms plus twice the
number of hcms that went into its construction; sizes computed to be less than
10 are rounded up to 10. The adjusted size is then computed by multiplying
The base size by a density factor. Ships and trains have a density factor of
1.00; tanks have a density of 3.00; balloons have a density of 0.33.

The odds of a kamikaze hitting its target are then:

     odds = PlaneEfficiency * PlaneSize * AdjustedShipSize / 450,000

Should the plane hit its mark, the amount of damage depends on the ratio of
sizes and armor rating of the target:

                              Concept : Kamikaze

     Damage = ImpactFactor * (PlaneSize+roll(50)) / AdjustedShipSize

       For ships, ImpactFactor = (200 - ArmorRating) / 2
       For trains, ImpactFactor = (200 - ArmorRating) / 2
       For tanks, ImpactFactor = (400 - ArmorRating) / 4
       For balloons, ImpactFactor = (800 - ArmorRating) / 8

Any negative ImpactFactor is considered to be zero.
       Roll(50) is a random number from 1 to 50.

If a kamikaze is shot down, there is a 50% chance that the pilot will muster
enough control to make a final heroic stab at a random target, although it's
generally a vain attempt that rarely succeeds unless the target is substan-
tially large (strike odds are low since the plane's efficiency will be less
than 10%).

                              Concept : Kamikaze

Kamikazes that are forced to abort their main mission generally turn back at a
point where they are within striking range of about a third of the potential
kamikaze targets in the area. As these pilots are still in full control of
their aircraft, they will offer you a target selection list with the hopes of
making a final glorious sacrifice rather than being disgraced by returning
home from an unsuccessful mission.
