                              Command : ITACTICS

 SYNTAX:
   [##:##] Command: itactics <COUNTRY> <RATIO> <ADD>

With the `itactics' command you can tune the number of your fighters that will
rise to intercept foreign intruders. Normally, the number of your planes that
rise to intercept is equal to the number of enemy aircraft plus one. There
may be times, however, when you would prefer to launch more, fewer, or even no
aircraft. The `itactics' commands lets you do this on a per-country basis.

If used with no parameters, `itactics' simply reports the current intercept
tactics settings. For example,

   [##:##] Command: it

                              Command : ITACTICS

   INTERCEPT TACTICS
       intruder ratio plus
     2 Krev 0.25 2
     3 Aarrgghh 5.00 0
     4 SnowBack 0.00 5
     5 Ice Barbarians 0.00 0

The number of interceptors that you will launch is computed by taking the
number of intruder aircraft, multiply by the `ratio' value, add the `plus'
value, and then truncating the results to a integer. In the example, if we
see 10 intruders incoming, we would try to send up either 4 fighters, 50
fighters, 5 fighters, or nothing at all (depending on whether the intruders
belong to Krev, Aarrgghh, SnowBack, or Ice Barbarians).

If you specify a country name or number <COUNTRY>, but no additional parame-
ters, just the values for that country are listed.

If you specify both <COUNTRY> and a ratio <RATIO>, you will set the intercept

                              Command : ITACTICS

tactics for intrusions by that country. You will be prompted for a <PLUS>
value if you don't supply it on the command line.

To globally set identical `ratio' and `plus' values for all countries, specify
an asterisk `*' as the <COUNTRY> parameter.
