				Shuttle 3 v.1.78
			================================

1. Copyrights

Shuttle 3 is (c)copyright 1997-98 by Gilles Wagner, Ralf Lentz
and Claude Heischbourg. This team is also known	as WHL Software.

2. Installation

The installation of Shuttle 3 is easy. You only need to
unzip the file 'shuttle3.zip' onto your harddisk drive or
any other drive with enough of free space. Therefore you need
a program such as Winzip or Pkunzip. Shuttle 3 needs un-
zipped about 2,7 megabytes of free space. Zipped it only needs
about 100 kilobytes, so there should be no problem if you want
to put the game on 1.44 MB disks. As soon as you have installed
the game properly you only have to run the file 'shuttle3.exe' to
	start the game.

3. How to play Shuttle 3

That's very easy ! To move your shuttle and to fire: use your
keyboard. Joysticks and the mouse aren't supported. Here's a
list of the control keys ...

arrow up / home = move shuttle up
arrow down / end	= move shuttle down
arrow left / delete	= move shuttle left
arrow right / page down	= move shuttle right
	space	 		= fire !

4. Hardware Requirements

Shuttle 3 is entirely written in BASIC, and compiled with
Turbo Basic. Unfortunately the binaries produced by this
compiler are not very fast and of course they're not optimized
for today's high-end computers. The System Requirements are
	the followings:

	Central Processing Unit:
A 80-486 is absolutely required to run the game properly. If
you got this old processor, we strongly recommend to turn off
the sound in the options menu. Otherwise the sound could end
up in an undefinable charivari and brake out the whole game.
The game could even hang up your system, but we haven't been
reported that kind of problems very often. If you should have
any problems, try to end the game by pressing <CTRL> + <PAUSE/BREAK>.
With a Pentium(R) Processor there should be no problem running
this game with all its options enabled (the sound too).
The game doesn't get really fast until a Pentium(R) 133 Mhz.
This processor will provide you a lot of fun with Shuttle 3.
	We have tested Shuttle 3 on a Pentium(R) 200 Mhz MMX(TM) and
even on a Pentium(R) II 300 Mhz MMX (TM), and finally on a
Pentium(R) II 400 Mhz MMX. The game didn't make any problems with
	these high-end-processors.

	Random Access Memory:
The compiler in use only supported the conventional memory
(640 KB). So you don't need any extended memory. You need
at least 73 KB of free conventional memory.

	Graphics Card:
Any VGA graphics card. The game doesn't support any VESA modes,
nore any other graphic modes than int13h.

	Sound Card:
Sound cards are unfortunately not supported. The only sound
source used by this game are the internal pc-speaks. If pc-
speaker sound sucks (sometimes it really does!) you, then you
can turn it of in the options menu.

	Harddisk space:
2,7 megabytes of free harddisk space is absolutely required
	to run the game.

The game's speed is different under DOS and under Windows,
so, if you own an older Computer, try out both and check where
	you have the best results.

like this game. If you want to publish Shuttle 3 on a free-/
