  About Valgetal and Valgebra
  ---------------------------

"Val" means in Dutch fall and "getal" means number, and
indeed you play in Valgetal with falling numbers. Its
a challenging and educational game in which you have to
make rapid calculations with falling numbers.

Valgebra is a mathematical game in which you play with
falling algebra components and resolve in this way a
first grade equation. Quite a different way to work
  with algebra!

We hope that our software will awaken the interest of
many children for mathematics. We think that Valgetal
and Valgebra demonstrates that maths is not only
beautiful, but can also be fun!

Valgetal 3.23, Valdgtal and Valgebra are distributed as
friendly ''freeware''. This means that you may copy this
software and give it to others, but only if you do this
without commercial purposes (you do not gain money
with it). In Internet it may be placed in shareware and
freeware sites, but only if no money is asked to
download the software. To distribute it in CD (with
shareware and/or freeware), first permission must be
  asked to the author.

Inside the msdos based programs Valdtal and Valgebra there
is not written that they may be distributed for free
(not commercially). But nevertheless this may be done.
(they may also be copied to give them to other users if this
  is done without commercial purposes).

We do not give guarantee. But if any problem should arise,
please contact us and we shall try to solve it, although
  we cant promise anything.

The author is not responsable for any damage or injury
that could arise by using the software (although dont
know which damage or injury could happen...).

Valgetal 3.23 as been designed especially for Windows
95/98/2000/NT/XP, although it can normally also be used in
Windows 3.x . (in that case, install it first in a Windows 95
or higher computer, and copy the files from the directory where
you installed Valgetal, without the install, to the computer
  with windows 3.x).

Valgetal 3.23 can be used in Pc computers, with all kind of
  screen configurations (640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 or higher)
and color settings (256 colors, high density 16 bits and
true color 24 bit). It works already in 386 dx computers
with windows 3.x, and perhaps in even "lower" platforms.
Just try out the program. If it doesnt work, you can use
the Msdos version Valdgtal. Also if it take a lot of time
to start the program, perhaps its better to use the Msdos
  version.

According to the author Valgetal 3.23 has its most beautiful
appearance if you choose "sophisticated colour" in the
main menu and let it occupy the whole screen.

If you see in Valgetal 3.23 any graphical errors, choose
"simple color" in the main-menu. If you still see graphical
errors, check the fontsize of Windows: it must be small
(normal size 96 ppp). In case, go to: start-> configuration->
  control panel-> screen configuration-> font size .
  The default size is small.

Valdgtal is aproximately the same game as Valgetal 3.23: the
High Score results obtained with both programs are comparable.
Only its lay-out is less sophisticated. Also the "game-speed"
of Valgetal is about the same on every computer, so the
results obtained with different computers are comparable.

Valdgtal and Valgebra are Msdos based programs and can be used
in almost every Pc with Msdos, Windows 3.x or Windows 95/98/+.
This is quite an advantage if you want to use these programs
in a school, were Msdos based computers are still in use.

If you install the Msdos based programs Valdgtal and Valgebra
in Windows 95/98, take care to install them in a directory
with a name less then 8 symbols! Otherwhise they will not
  work (error 003).
