        -------------------------------------------------------------------------
        Intro
        -------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alarm is a digital clock that you can set to display a message and play a
sound at a time of your choice. It is meant to be of help when you want
to be warned while you are working (and chances are big you are going to
forget you have to do this very important thing later on)...

        -------------------------------------------------------------------------
        Requirements
        -------------------------------------------------------------------------
A file you _may_ need is the VBruntime.
You can read about this file and download it at the BlueFive homepage at
        http://bluefive.pair.com/vbrun.htm

Windows 95 and Windows NT4 users must have Mediaplayer 6.4 or higher
        installed.

        -------------------------------------------------------------------------
        Installation
        -------------------------------------------------------------------------
        Automatic installation (Double-click Setup.exe).

        To uninstall:
double-click the 'Uninstall Alarm' icon in the Start menu, or go to
Control Panel/"Add/Remove Programs" select Alarm and click "Remove".

        -------------------------------------------------------------------------
        Usage
        -------------------------------------------------------------------------
No need for explanations, I'm sure you will know what to do with it...

        - A few tips:

          * Press CTRL-P to quickly show the 'Preferences' window.

          * Press CTRL-R to quickly reset the Alarm clock to the actual time.

          * Press the ESCape key to quit the 'Full screen' alert. (Or
            double-click somewhere on your screen).

          * Double-click the "Beep" or "Play sound" checkbox in the Prefs
window to preview (actually 'pre-hear') the sounds.

          * If you don't like the siren sound (the alarm.wav in the Alarm
program folder) then just replace it with another .wav file of
your liking. Don't replace it with a 12 Megabyte Deep Purple song
though, as this might slow things down a bit... ;-)

          * If you want to automatically enable an alarm every time when your
computer starts, then put a SHORTCUT to the Alarm executable in
your Startup Menu, and tick the "Set Alarm on Startup" menu item.

        - What if a screen saver is running?

No problem: Alarm will still sound off.

If the "On resume, password protect" or "On resume, display Welcome
screen" (depending on your log-on configuration) screensaver-option is
checked, it will *still* sound off, but it won't show itself until you
pass the Welcome screen, or pass the log-on.

        - Can I play my favorite mp3's with Alarm?

Sure. Alarm can play .mid, .mp3, .ogg, .wav .wma files and some other
exotic stuff, provided you have the codecs installed on your computer.
If you can 't play .ogg files for instance, get its codecs.
