Subject: My New Kite is a Flexifoil Scorpion Some weeks ago I was asking opinions on the Fizz Phantom: thanks to all those who replied. After trying this and a couple of others I eventually went for the Flexifoil Scorpion, and I just LOVE it. It seems to have a fluidity in the air that the Phantom lacks, and it really will fly in next to no wind. IMHO, it's also prettier than the Phantom. I have a question about it though? It occurred to me it might be possible to modify the kite's behaviour (in a controllable way :-) using shorter rear spars but longer standoffs and whiskers (or vice versa): can this sort of thing be done? -- James Petts ----------- DO NOT READ THIS .sig UNDER PENALTY OF LAW! It's your kite and you can do what you like, but the Scorpion is particularly well built, to get the camber and tension *just* right. I would think twice about changing it, an would take care not to stretch the sail. BTW, remember to remove the tension from the sail when you pack it (end-caps off), to retain the perfect shape that it came with. Andrew -- This is not the account that I usually Email from.
