I have discussed with Joel Scholz the possibility of holding the Seminar at his shop. The Texas Skyriders have agreed to help out with a Keg of beer and the SWSKC will throw in some munchies. The Seminar will begin at 4:00 ish at Joel's shop which is located in Austin, TX. To get there from I35 you take the 1st street Exit. (For those who take things a bit too literal that is not the 1st street you find then exit, there really is a street called 1st street.) Go up to Red River and turn left. Go up one block and make a right turn on Willow, you can't miss the shop. If you do your looking for something else. The Park, for those of you who are unfamiliar with Austin, take I35 and get off on the Riverside Dr. exit. Go West for about 2 1/2 miles. Cross Congress Ave. or Blvd. (I can't remember) Stay in your left lane and get on Barton Springs Rd. Take Barton Springs Rd. Till you get to the park. It's about 2 1/2 miles. Suggestion, if your a kite flyer or just a kite person, get there early. If you get there later than 10:30, especially on a good day, plan on walking a good 1/2 mile or better to a parking space. The place usually attracts well over 40,000 spectators on a good day. Funny thing is that there is only one kite manufacture out there. The rest...,I don't know what happened to them. Oh yea, that's right there going to the events which attract more contestants than spectators. Makes sense... Frank = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
