Hello
I used to play a wonderful IF game called HAUNT, on mainframe computers.
A few years ago, I was wondering if it was still around, so I posted and
got ahold of the author, Dr. Laird, who said the platform was dead, the
program was gone, and pretty much to forget it. So now I'm wondering
if anyone can help me with the next best thing, which is to reconstruct
some of the strings from memory, for the fun of it and for the sake of
not letting a great old game completely die.

The fun of the game was in the great, weird writing. It was like horror-
movie cliches and this amazing sense of humor. The rampaging moose... the
cube of LSD... the monster on a slab... the elevator... the bus... the
wine cellar that went on forever... if any of this rings a bell, please
email. Maybe r.a.i-f readers would be more likely to remember this
obscure game, but I didnt want to post over there if not appropriate.

thanks
Kevin Carhart
