Interesting...I've been looking for a copy for awhile (for the Apple II, Mac,
or MS-DOS PC in that order of preference). I'd much prefer to wade through the
hypermedia version than read it as a novel, even on the 64k Apple ][+ version
with a joystick (which was how I played the part I completed, maybe a third).
The order of presentation of the various snippets of story, the graphs and
biographs seemed fairly important to the feel of the thing, to me.
