Although I've gone way beyond the opening Hyde Park scene in TRINITY,
one thing from that scene still has me confused: the Albert Memorial,
and more specifically the way the game portrays it as this incredibly
ugly object. I'm guessing that this is some sort of private joke, or
a reflection of the author's opinion of the real-life Albert Memorial
(assuming it exists in real life).

So, can anybody out there help me out by explaining to me just what the
Albert Memorial *is*, and why it gets the treatment it does in TRINITY?
