Yeah!!!!
Some other Infocom fans!!! I love you all!!! I've been looking for a
newsgroup like this for some time now, and I am very happy that I found this.
Infocom games have been the background of my game computing for over a decade
now. I couldn't tell you how happy I was when Activision finally released
Lost Treasures I & II (although Journey, Shogun, and Quarterstaff are
missing!). I happened to have liked Journey, myself, and although it was more
of a non-traditional Infocom game, it was also part of their new line that
was breaking away from the spend-weeks-on-a-single-puzzle line. Even Zork Zero
was a break-away in this field. But personally, my favorite Infocom game is
DEADLINE (Marc Blank is a god). This game features some of the best plot
advancements in any Infocom games, and the story is perfect. It was like
reading a good novel. How about other Infocom fans? Post your favorite games
or e-mail me. I'll never refuse an opportunity to talk about Infocom. By the
way, has anyone seen any advanced beta's on Return to Zork? If so, let me
know.
