Well, I don't know if "everyone else in the world" uses TADS, but it
does seem to have a good following on r.a.i-f. Anyway, if you haven't
got the manual yet I'd suggest that as a good first step. You can also
buy source code for a complete full-featured game (Deep Space Drifter)
from High Energy as well. If you don't want to spend any money and have
ftp access, check out the if-archive on ftp.gmd.de. There's complete
source to a full adventure (Colossal Cave Revisited) and an unfinished
adventure (High Tech Drifter) in /if-archive/games/source/tads and a
small (but hopefully growing) collection of source code examples in
/if-archive/programming/tads/examples.
