I can only urge you to port TADS to the Archimedes instead of writing 
your own system.  There are two reasons I urge this.  First, TADS is
a *wonderful* system.  I've worked with seven other adventure creation
languages/systems and it is by far the best.  Second, it would increase
the portability of both the adventures you create and the adventures
written in TADS on other platforms.  
 
According to the Author, TADS is written in pretty clean C, so it 
shouldn't be too hard to port.  Think about it!
