Answering my own question.  Yes,  there are two buttons off the bottom of
my screen.  I can just get to them by carefully moving the window to the
very top of the screen.   I can't see the labels,  but apparently the one
on the left compiles and the one on the right quits.

This is a very poor design,  and should be corrected.   It's rather glaring
to have to click buttons that I can't see to use this product.

While I'm being annoyed,  I'll balance it by saying I'm impressed with
the manual.
