MOIST [1.06]

A Scarlet Herring Erotic Text Adventure Game.

"Moist" is an adult text adventure game. If you're underaged, easily offended,
or if you just don't care about this kind of game, please don't play it. The
game is male oriented, because females usually don't play this kind of game.
The game is entirely heterosexual.

The game contains a high level parser, like you'll find in, for instance,
Infocom text adventures. You don't have to limit your commands to just two
words. If you need more instructions, just give the command "instructions"
whilst playing the game.

Moist is created with the Text Adventure Development System (TADS). TADS is a
product of Michael J. Roberts. Michael is, however, in no way responsible for
the contents of this game. If you want to create sophisticated text
adventures, you should get a copy of TADS. It is freeware.

To play the game, you need a TADS interpreter. There are interpreters
available for many different systems, like MS-DOS, Windows 3.1, Windows 95,
Windows 98, Windows NT, Apple Macintosh, several Unix flavours, etcetera.
All these interpreters are available from the Interactive Fiction Archive,
which is found on the World Wide Web at:

        ftp://ftp.gmd.de/if-archive

If you want to reach the TADS interpreters subdirectory immediately, link to:

        ftp://ftp.gmd.de/if-archive/programming/tads/executables/

For Windows I recommend the use of WinTADS. The file which you should get
is probably called "WinTADS-xxx.zip", "xxx" being the version number. All
versions upwards from version 1.2.1 should be able to run the game.

Scarlet Herring can be contacted about Moist at <scarlet_herring@yahoo.com>.
You can use this e-mail address to file bug reports, discuss the game or the
game implementation, or give your comments.

Moist is freeware. You may distribute it freely, under the strict condition
that no fee is charged, except to cover the costs of the redistribution. The
copyrights stay with Scarlet Herring.

VERSIONS

Note: Savegames of different versions of Moist are NOT compatible.

[1.0] 96/01/01 First release, compiled with TADS 2.0.11.

[1.01] 97/01/01 Second release. A few minor textual changes. A few tiny
bug fixes. Added a section of "have you tried..." hints at
the end of the game. Changed the name from "Moist
Adventure" to "Moist". Added notify verb.

[1.02] 98/04/16 A few minor changes.

[1.03] 98/06/08 A nasty bug would mess up lightsources after a restart.
Solved this. Added a warning when the battery is almost
out of juice. Fixed a few spelling mistakes and made a few
                    minor changes.

[1.04] 98/07/21 The game is now compiled with TADS version 2.2.3. I
thought this wasn't necessary, but I heard that the
.GAM-file built with older versions of TADS won't work
correctly with other TADS runtimes, like WinTADS or TADS
for Mac, so I thought it was prudent to make the upgrade.
Morghana's bedroom door cannot be locked from the inside
anymore, to take care of a logical bug in which Kim or Ilsa
could open the door while it is locked (it's a cop-out, I
know). Fixed a few minor spelling mistakes and made a few
                    minor changes.

[1.05] 98/11/01 A few minor changes. Compilation is now done with TADS
2.2.6. Added the "legal" verb. Distribution is now
                    without TADS interpreter.

[1.06] 99/05/28 Fixed bug which gave an error message if you tried to lick
the statue's bodyparts. Also fixed bug which could display
erroneous texts when the player uses the whip on Kim.
I found I missed the keyword 'breasts', so that one's
added. You can now ask Kim to explain 21 again, in case
                    you forgot.
