This directory, FUNtapecopyscripts, contains two scripts which can be used to
read the FUN tape and write exact duplicates of it.

Use readFUNtape to read the files from the tape into 3 tar image files.
These files take up about 2.2 Megabytes and contain all of the information
on the FUN tape. readFUNtape can read tapes from local and remote
tape drives.

The writeFUNtape script is run from the same directory in which you ran
readFUNtape, and is run once for each FUN tape you create.
writeFUNtape can create both 1/4" cartridge and 1/2" reel tapes, as long
as the tape drive is connected to your local machine. You can use NFS to
mount the directory with the tar images onto the machine with the tape drive
and rlogin to that machine and then run writeFUNtape from there.

If you want to install the FUN tape for your own use, please run
the script called readFUNtape in the directory in which you did the initial
installation.
