Ok maybe, are the devices at "nominal addresses"?

Like I said I have two of the 425s and bith run MINIX 2.0 or 2.02
no problem. One has 4mb and the other 8mb, the only card plugged in
is a NE2000 lookalike. The bios (CTRL-ALT-ENTER) can be accessed and
checked.
