Is it minix 2.0.0 or 2.0.2? I have a practically identical machine, I
downloaded and made a 2.0.0 i386 root+usr disk tonight and it booted.
Mine has 8MB of ram. A thrift store was selling two for one price, so I
got two and put the simms from both into one machine. I think minix should
work in 4MB. Your boot disk may seem to have nothing wrong, but you might
still try making another one. If the i386 minix won't boot, you could try
the i86 version.
