WHAT IS THIS:

The 'all' directory (this directory which contains this README) is
where you're usually going to build e4Graph in. It contains the needed
configure+makefiles for Unix and the project file for Win32 (VC++).

BUILDING EVERYTHING:

Do 'sh clean_install.sh' to prepare a clean install area.

Do 'sh clean_dist.sh' to prepare a clean distribution area.

Do 'sh build_everything.sh' to build everything from source. This builds
Tcl 8.4, Expat 1.95.5, Metakit 2.4.38 and e4Graph 1.0a8. It leaves the
install area in <e4graph>/../install.

Do 'sh build_dist.sh' to prepare a distribution of e4Graph for this
platform. It assumes you've already done 'sh build_everything.sh' and that
the needed files are in <e4graph>/../install. It builds a distribution in
<e4graph>/../dist containing all the files that should be in a distribution
for the specific platform on which the command is invoked.

BUILDING ONLY E4GRAPH:

This assumes you've got installed Metakit, and optionally Tcl, Java and
Expat, distributions. On Unix, do the correct configure (see
../docs/e4install.html) and then 'make install'. On Win32 start VC++
(Version 6.X) and OpenWorkspace 'win32/vc6/all.dsw', then select the
project you want to build. With DevStudio.NET, Open the project
'win32/vc7/all.sln' instead. Regardless, much more detail can be
found in ../docs/e4install.html.
