This Emacs Info file is provided by Edward Hartnett (ejh@larry.gsfc.nasa.gov).
You should contact Ed for comments, suggestions, updates and thank yous, as I
don't do Info stuff yet.

Thanks Ed, this is much nicer than a man page!

		       Installation Directions

OK, here's what you do. I am assuming you have root privledges over
your emacs installation and that it is installed in the usual place.

You do know about the info package in emacs right? It allows you to
access the online manual. Type M-x info for more info.

There is a file, /usr/local/info/dir that serves as the top of the
info chain. In it there is a menu of first level choices in the info
directory. Here's a section from mine - your will have different stuff
in different order:

* Menu: The list of major topics begins on the next line.

* Emacs: (emacs).	1 The extensible self-documenting text editor.
* GNUS: (gnus). 2 The news reader GNUS.
* Elisp: (elisp).	3 The GNU elisp manual.
* GMake: (make). 4 The GNU make utility.
* Info: (info). 5 Documentation browsing system.
* Perl: (perl). 6 Larry Wall's great scripting language.
* cpp: (cpp). 7 cpp - the GNU C preprocesser.
* gcc: (gcc). 8 The GNU C compiler.
* gdb: (gdb). 9 The GNU debugger.
* calc: (calc). Amazingly functional calculator.
* texinfo: (texi). Documentation manager from GNU.
* SC: (sc). Supercite lets you cite parts of messages you're
			  replying to, in hairy ways.
* Forms: (forms).	Emacs package for editing data bases
			  by filling in forms.
* Evap: (evap). Package to evaluate command line arguments.

Note the last line. Copy that line into your dir file, anywhere in the
menu. Save the dir file.

Now drop evap.info into the directory /usr/local/info
and you should be able to access it through M-x info:
