Unlike the .xemacs-vs-.emacs issue, most of us agree that
.xemacs-custom is a Good Thing, to store the Customize bindings, as
well as automatically enabling the disabled commands.

However, many of our users (especially since the release of 20.2)
already use Customize, and have existing settings in ~/.emacs. The
transition from .emacs to .xemacs-custom seems unsmooth.

For example, I have changed a custom setting and saved options -- to
~/.xemacs-custom, as before. However, my settings in .emacs still
remain. Which ones will take precedence? Should I remove the ones in
.emacs? Is .xemacs-custom loaded automatically?

Many questions.

a "Vengeance is mine" expression, to a "What the fuck" blank look.
