 There's an article about keyboard configuration for Linux in the June
Linux Journal, "Consistent Keyboard Configuration" on page 52.  I'm
reading it now...  It talks about makeing BS and DEL do the right
thing from tty's and under XWindows.  There appears to be a section
about Emacs.
