very weird situation with vm under 20.3 b1

the summary & inbox buffers have slid all the way over to the left and
cover the button bar. I'm left with a blank strip along the right hand
side.

If I click in either the summary or inbox buffer, the button bar get's
raised to the top. If I minimize, then maximize, it's buried again.

I'd send a gif snapshot, but oddly enough I can't convince xv to do a
grab. really, really weird.

It's very repeatable for me, ie, I've exited xemacs & started up a new one
3 times now, same thing each time.
