I used to have crashes when I loaded balloon-help in XEmacs 19.14,
and reported them, along with the "opening a frame after VM has been
run" crash, that turned out to be caused by a libcompface that was not
compiled with -D_BSD_SOURCE, or was perhaps compiled with an older
Linux libc, thus changing the size of a struct inside it.

It's fixed now, because of recompiling that lib. (which fixed it in
the same copy of XEmacs that crashed, because libcompface.so is a
shared lib.)
