Should all the defgroups be autoloaded?  Somehow it looks like it'd
make sense (i.e. for all the groups to be there on startup), but I'm
not sure how the autoloading mechanism works -- I wouldn't want all
the elisp to be loaded upon startup. :-)

I'll keep them without autoloads; the change is easy enough to make,
either way.
