The attributes from the first matching display will be used. No
attributes from other displays will be used.

In 1.70, only the attributes of the currently selected display will be
shown by default. This should make it much easier for new users to
use, as well as faster. There will be (is) an entry in the state menu
to show all the the displays.

Yes, and color should disappear when you have selected monochrome, and
the font attributes shown should also reflect those available in the
selected display. This is in the wishlist for 2.0.
