I just tried out pcl-cvs in 20.1b10. I did E (emerge). When I tried
to quit I got some stupid error:

Invalid function: (macro . #<compiled-function (from "subr.elc")
(&rest cdr) "...(6)" [function lambda cdr] 3 827283>)

So I turned on debug-on-error, and tried to repeat it. Nope. Now I
can't do emerge because I can't have more than one emerge session (so
I'm told).
Signaling: (error "There can only be one emerge session active at a time.")
signal(error ("There can only be one emerge session active at a time."))
cerror("There can only be one emerge session active at a time.")
apply(cerror "There can only be one emerge session active at a time.")
error("There can only be one emerge session active at a time.")
  cvs-mode-emerge(799)
  call-interactively(cvs-mode-emerge)

OK. So I choose tools/ediff misc/list ediff sessions. Guess what?
No ediff sessions active!

Can you spell b-r-o-k-e-n?
