I first built just with the raw distribution, which didn't work
(explained below).  Then I think I applied the configure patches, which
still didn't work.

The configure and compile seem to go fine.  I can even start a running
xemacs which looks normal.

Except, when I go to start gnus, I get:
nntp (news.ucsd.edu) open error: ''.  Continue? (y or n)

I haven't built a 20.1 since b6, I think.


Installation info for both runs:

./configure  --prefix=/export/tmp/beta --site-includes=/usr/local/include --site-libraries=/usr/local/lib --cflags=-g -O2 --with-dialogs=motif --debug=no --error-checking=none


Configured for `sparc-sun-solaris2.5'.
