And I've evidentally missed.  cvs update is nicer than patching.

Yes, and important large additions could be assigned branches.

That is a concern, but less of a concern (to me) than the vandalism
becoming more prevalent (my day job is running an ISP, I'm paid to be
paranoid). :-(

I'll keep this in mind.  I need more time to explore CVS and become
comfortable with it.
