the big problem with Irix is as per the one we used to have with
Solaris 2- undump isn't the proper way of building a binary that'll
work when shared libraries, etc get updated.

despite this being a regular question in the sgi newsgroups, no one
has yet come forward who understands the intricacies of this and
offered to fix it. :(
