Oh, you can edit text with XEmacs...<grumbling in the info pages> Oh
yes you seem to be right -- nice, now I know /that/ I can use XEmacs
even for writing my diploma thesis and through away xedit -- great!
But is XEmacs as good with respect to text editing as xedit is? I'll
have to dig into it...

"Yeah, of course" means: Yes, I wanted to have a function that can
give the current pixel width of a given portion of text (a line, a
extent...). "Please take into..." means: It's late so the clearness of
my writing may be less than usual.
