The problem is that I normally run XEmacs 19.14 with a much larger
font, and I set the defaults appropriately.  Then I rlogin to the host
where I test 20.1, set the DISPLAY to my X server, but the size
default is still there!  Sorry for the false alarm.

This works, although I still lose a line.  Oh, what the hell -- it's
just my personal setup anyway.
