How do you define working?  It's "worked" for me on hpux9 and on
linux, if you don't mind that
1) something's wierd with the colormap.  Pictures often seem to be
   quantized down to almost no colors, even when viewing the same
   thing under, say, netscape doesn't seem to show this kind of loss.
   This is when using tm, for example.
2) There are frequent complaints about extraneous bytes in jpegs, or
   something to that effect.
