Subject: 20.1-b5 : still hangs in shell mode
Reply-To: Martin Buchholz <mrb@Eng.Sun.COM>

20.1-b5 builds much more nicely than b3, but the shell mode hang
remains - every time I press RET in shell mode, it hangs in busy wait
for 15 seconds before executing the command. This makes shell mode
(and hence XEmacs) unusable for me.

I don't understand all the issues involved, and am not sure which
change caused this, but this has got to get fixed. I'm willing to fix
it myself if need be, but I would prefer if one of the 2 Davids find
the fix, since you have thought about this more than I have. Maybe we
just need to back out David Byers' previous patch?

Martin
