There's hardly any difference between White (255 255 255) and
WhiteSmoke (245 245 245).  Although I prefer light text on Gray20
myself, for the default I like something like Kyle's suggestion
(or maybe even a bit lighter, Gray80 or Gray85).

I agree with Hrvoje here.  Having a better default background than
eyes-bursting-into-flame white is more important.

This one's definitely cool, and with some work (the metallic look of
the letters is very cool, but a bit busy or something) could be
excellent, but as it stands I think I like the first one better.
