Unless of course you're out of SIMM slots, or your machine is so
old you don't HAVE SIMM slots (at home, I have an oldVaxstation
running Ultrix 4.5, and some old IBM RT's running AIX 2.2.1 -
they're basically *stuck* at the current RAM (no, I haven't tried
building XEmacs on them, I have to suck the tarball over a 14.4 ;))

The problem is the "tragedy of the commons" - a *few* packages
can bloat a LITTLE.. but after XEmacs bloats a little, and then
Exmh bloats a little.. and Tk/Tcl bloats a little.. and CDE
bloats a little over and over and over... you've literally
nickel'ed and dime'd yourself into heavy thrashing...

/Valdis (who has 96M on the box in his office, occasionally
thrashes ANYHOW, but doesn't think the boss will spring for *more*
memory for the beast)
