I see the same thing with the empty lisp/dired directory.  But it
looks like the dired files have been moved to the efs dir.  I guess
this is just part of the efs integration though.

The problem I have is when I try to run dired or do a C-x C-f, I get
the msg in the minibuffer

Symbol's value as variable is void: default-dir-emacs-version
