Someone (gee, I wonder who... <sheepish grin>) forgot that lisp
strings can no longer just == with Qnil... *sigh*, maybe someyear my
brain will start functioning...

I've fixed some character handling and server response problems, and
now am fighting with command mappings to make it easily usable... Also
as a datapoint, running it on Irix 6.2 using the bundled Wnn6 is
working too now.

Yup, that's the correct phrase, but for some reason my setup failed to
correctly decode the buffer in ISO-2022-JP... I'm using
straight-from-the-20.0-bottle VM and tm, too... Sometimes it works spiffy,
apparently sometimes it doesn't. Anyone else have the same problem? If
so, I hope you can chase it, as I might have a bit too much on my
plate for the weekend...

If there are WNN problems, please send them to me, and I'll send you a
patch from my current workspace.
