FYI

Auto configure --with-gcc=yes, no patches applied.

Configured and compiled without problem.  I am still seeing 
a hang waiting for w3 to access a proxy-server.  Can't interrupt
this.


Configured for `hppa1.1-hp-hpux9.03'.
