It doesn't scale up.  By the time we get every package with customized
options we won't have room on the menubar anywhere for anything else.

Besides, navigating a maze of twisty GUI menus all alike is probably
patented by Microsoft, we wouldn't want to get sued, right? ;-)

Noted.  I needed to do a bit of fiddling first before I could work
with it, but it's really not too bad.

I don't think W3 is Customized yet.  Gnus 5.4 is Customized, try
that.

Both the (lack of) graphics and performance can be dealt with.  The
performance is largely XEmacs' fault, (I note that it ran at an
acceptable speed when I played with it earlier this morning).
