I can imagine that there could be a number of problems due to the need
to set things like TeX-printer-list locally.  And there would be a need
to have a large number of defalias's to maintain compatibility with
texifmt (or whatever it is).  _but_ auc-tex is _such_ an excellent
package.  This is the sort of thing that I can get time from work to
do....
