From a clean Beta20 tar-ball only, I applied both patches (with 2.5).
No glitches except missing leim file (no problem).

After symbolically linking ~/bin/xemacs to the beta21 xemacs, I had no
problem with a straight `make dist'.  Built src, elc, and info properly.

It's very cool reading gnus-mime-ja info.  I wish I knew Japanese.
