My response is `first impression'.  My first impression of Emacs (way
back in '82 or '83) was that it was a slow loading program from Hell
that took forever to start (on a VAX 11-782), and had no obvious way
to exit from it.  It took 5 years for me to get a better impression.

Wait until the MS Windows NT version of XEmacs hits the streets.[1]
You can't keep an XEmacs session running a long time if your system
can't stay up for a long time.
