Thanks for your interest, I am coordinating the NT build currently.

To answer the second question first, the README file (nt/README) in the
20.3 beta sources should answer all questions on what is needed and how to
compile
(and if it doesn't, mail me and I will fix the information)

In short, you need an X server (pointer to a free one in the README), X
libraries (available from ftp.x.org) and Visual C++ V4.2 or later.

As for the progress, I have got a bit hung up trying to fix a networking
problem. Everytime I try to fix it, I seem to break the unexec code ;-( I
am probably missing something obvious.

Football season is now into finals month as well, so I should have more
time soon :-)
