The previous version wouldn't fontify if you did
find-file-other-frame, until you did something in that frame, like a
mouse click.  Ben had fixed those problems with his hacks to
lazy-lock, and strongly recommended reverting to the previous
version.  Ben's version works better for me as well.  If we want the
features of both (I have no idea what lazy-lock-hide-invisible does)
we need to do a merge, not just discard Ben's version.  Would you like 
to volunteer?  A short telephone chat with Ben (415-621-5766) might be 
valuable.

Note about Ben: Ben is still very much involved intellectually; he
just can't type.  But his understanding of the internals is better
than anyone else at the moment, so a voice conversation can be quite
valuable.  He welcomes such conversations.  Try to call between 15:00
and 24:00 California time.
