Take ONE Version 3.5e
---------------------

-------------------
Program information
-------------------

Take ONE is a universal graphics and animation program that supports a
variety of image and animation formats and offers you a range of powerful
tools to modify both the frames and the animation settings. Unlike most other
image editing and processing software Take ONE's image editor has been
desinged particularly for creating and editing image sequences as used for
animation. Since its philosophy is not to modify large, true color
photographic images it also allows manipulation of single pixels much more
accurately than most other programs.

Take ONE also provides a powerful animation editor for creating interactive
cast based animations. Animations can be played stand alone in a window, or
as screensavers. For playing back animations Take ONE provides a runtime
module with which animations can be distributed and installed directly under
Windows.

a) Image file formats supported:
	  - Windows Bitmap (.BMP, .DIB, .RLE)
	  - Take ONE Frame Sequences (.BMX)
	  - Z-Soft Paintbrush Bitmap (.PCX)
	  - CompuServe Graphic-Interchange-Format (.GIF)
	  - Tagged Image File Format (.TIF)
	  - Resource Bitmaps (Images stored in .EXE, .DLL and .SCR Files)
	  - Icons and Cursors (.ICO,.CUR)

b) Animation formats supported:
	  - Take ONE Animations (.ANS)
	  - Video for Windows (.AVI)
	  - Animated Cursors (.ANI)
	  - Animated GIFs (.GIF)

Take ONE lets you easily create frame sequences that e.g. show a thing or an
animal in motion. A frame sequence consists of a number of (up to 256) frames
of the same size and color depth that have only little changes between them
which can be put into motion when played quickly one after another.

Take ONE animations use such frame sequences to create up to 30 animated
objects per animation which can all move simultaneously and independently.
It is also possible to let an object interact with the user i.e. react on
mouse or keyboard input. There are three different ways of defining the
animation behaviour of an object. The sequence animation type is the easiest
to define and suitable for simple objects. Use the path animation for
objects with a complex movement or the cycle definition to add interactively
to your animation.
